The paddle has a nice weight to it that gives a satisfying thud without being too harsh. I used it for the first time last night and the red color really pops against the skin. Definitely a fun addition to our collection.

The leather is stiffer than I expected, which gives a satisfying thud with each strike. It's comfortable to grip and the heat it leaves behind is just right for play.

That red leather really pops under the bedroom light, and the smack sound it makes is sharp but not too harsh on the skin. The paddle itself has a nice firm weight to it that I didn't expect from something so compact, and the handle feels secure even when things get a little sweaty.
